Javid Basharat calls for fight vs. striker Davey Grant: ‘Let’s see who’s the best in England’
Javid Basharat is looking to step back into the octagon at the start of next year with a fight vs. a striker.
Basharat beat Tony Gravely with a unanimous decision Saturday on the preliminary card at UFC Fight Night 210 in Las Vegas.
When asked who and when he wants to fight next, Basharat had this to say for both questions.
“I think around January would be a good time. Now that I took out the wrestler – I’ve fought two grapplers now (in the UFC). Trevin Jones, a black belt in jiu-jitsu, and D-I wrestler Tony Gravely. Now let me get a striker. Let me get Davey Grant. He’s a striker – he likes to bang. He’s from England. I’m from England, too. Let’s see who’s the best in England.”
