Buddy Matthews is taking some time away.
Buddy has been a topic of conversation over the last two days since he announced at an event that he would be taking some time off. He echoed his fellow House Of Black stablemate Malakai Black’s sentiment that it was not goodbye forever, just for now. He was also wrote off AEW TV at Rampage: Grand Slam last Friday.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that AEW talent didn’t even know about Buddy Matthews’ exit.
“I know a lot of the talent did not know of any of this until today. It’s not like word was going around on Wednesday when they taped that the word was going around that this is Buddy’s last match or anything like that, you know they didn’t really know anything.”
