Drew McIntyre “Feeling Better” After Bout With Food Poisoning
The Scottish Warrior soldiers on.
Drew McIntyre has been one of the stars of the past few years in WWE. He has become incredibly dependable and has carried SmackDown on his back since Roman Reigns began running a reduced schedule in WWE. No more so did he show this off then on Friday Night SmackDown, where McIntyre would tough through a terrible bout of food poisoning and still deliver an intense segment with Karrion Kross.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Drew McIntyre is feeling better now.
He’s better in the sense — I don’t wanna say all the way better — but, he’s hopeful that he’ll be good enough to go to the gym tomorrow. He was able to eat food today, which I think is the first day he could. Unless there’s a relapse or something, he’s got mid-week media in San Antonio for the Royal Rumble. The thought is that he’ll be there and on TV and house show starting Friday. He’s a trooper for going to SmackDown on Friday. He was scripted into a big angle. It’s a real big deal for Karrion Kross, this thing. It’s not ‘make or break,’ but it’s the angle leading up to it and everything like this.

McIntyre would get physical in his segment on SmackDown, first being blinded by a fire ball from Scarlett, before being choked out by Karrion Kross. The pair will meet in a strap match at Extreme Rules.
