Rafael Dos Anjos has his sights set on the welterweight division this winter.
Dos Anjos will take on Bryan Barberena in a welterweight bout at UFC Orlando on December 3rd. [per Raphael Marinho of Combate]
At 37 years old, Dos Anjos is going for his second run in the 155lb division.
In the first, he started with three wins in a row and qualified to fight for the vacant belt in the category, but was surpassed by Colby Covington.
After four losses in five fights, he opted to return to lightweight and won the first two.
In the last confrontation, however, he was knocked out by Rafael Fiziev and opted to move up in weight. In his career he is 31-14.
Barberena is on a three-fight winning streak and most recently knocked out Robbie Lawler at UFC 276. Dos Anjos is currently ranked eighth in the lightweight division and Barberena is unranked in the welterweight division.
It is a big opportunity to defeat yet another former UFC champion and begin his rise up the rankings.
