Two Talents Who Missed AEW Dynamite Due To Hurricane Ian Revealed
It looks like AEW were without two prominent names due to the Hurricane currently sweeping its way through the state of Florida.
Earlier this week Tony Khan announced that anyone living in Florida would not be obligated to come to AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, with it being voluntary for anyone affected by the Hurricane’s path.
Fightful Select now have details on two talents who were on tap to perform on the show who would end up missing the show.
As made public by Tony Khan this week, those who lived in the area were not required to attend tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Philadelphia. Grapsody’s Will Washingston learned a couple of those absences that led to big changes on the show.
Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Swerve Strickland was scheduled to be at the show, but couldn’t travel to the event. His tag team partner Keith Lee was solo, working in a backstage segment with The Acclaimed.
Another name that was scheduled for the show, who couldn’t make it was Samoa Joe. On an ROH-heavy show from Philadelphia, the ROH TV Champion was slated to be at the event.

Here’s hoping that the pair remained safe during the Hurricane. Time will tell if the pair will end up featuring on next week’s Dynamite from Washington, DC.
