It looks like MJF had an important part to play in the creation of The Firm.
The official mission statement of The Firm is that they are paid by the hour to ensure that MJF gets what he wants. They already showcased how far they are willing to go, taking out everyone in the Casino Ladder Match at AEW All Out so MJF could walk out and take the poker chip to ensure a AEW World Title match any time he wants.
In a new interview with Comicbook, The Firm member Ethan Page revealed that the entire Firm faction was handpicked by MJF himself.
“He handpicked everybody, this was a very much a project that had MJF’s fingerprints all over it. I’ve had more opportunities to speak. I’ve been put in a spotlight more. Stokely Hathaway will happily take a back seat to Ethan Page. I don’t know if Dan Lambert and Scorpio Sky would say the same.”

The Firm is made up of several AEW talents including Lee Moriarty, Page, W. Morrisey and more. MJF is set to square off with Wheeler Yuta on the October 5 edition of AEW Dynamite.
