Sammy Guevara, Andrade El Idolo Get Into Backstage Altercation At AEW Dynamite, Punches Thrown

It looks like two of the most talented in ring talents in AEW have a suspension heading their way.

Andrade and Sammy Guevara have been feuding on social media for the last few days, with it getting very petty on both sides. Earlier tonight, Andrade’s match with 10 on AEW Rampage was announced as being off. Now, we know why.

TMZ have reported that the pair got into a physical altercation backstage at AEW Dynamite and that punches were thrown. Fightful Select have also reported on the matter, reporting that Andrade is the one who threw the first punch with Sammy shoving Andrade. It is unknown in what order these incidents took place.

Those that we spoke to say that there was verbal altercation that got physical, with Sammy Guevara shoving Andrade, and Andrade throwing a punch. We’re not sure if the punch actually connected, but we’re told it was not part of a grander work.

*TMZ have updated their report to note that Andrade was sent home, with Guevara remaining present for his scheduled match on AEW Dynamite.

It was reported earlier today that several talent were unhappy with the pair airing their dirty laundry in public. Any more updates on this situation will be posted to Bodyslam.net as the news breaks.
