Nigel McGuinness is no longer signed to WWE.
The former Ring Of Honor star was ruled out of active competition a number of years ago and has since been an announcer for NXT UK as well as the NXT brand as a whole. With the new WWE commentary shakeup, it was clear that both Nigel and Jimmy Smith were not in the companies plans as announcers.
PWInsider has now learned that McGuinness has left WWE.
Former Ring of Honor World Champion Nigel McGuiness, 46, was released by WWE earlier this week, PWInsider.com has learned.

Fans will likely not be happy about this as Nigel has consistently garnered positive reactions to his commentary, particularly while he was partnered up with Mauro Ranallo on NXT.
