One teachers goal of treating his students to an experience of a life time has officially been reached.
Victor Perry, a teacher from New York hosts “The Wrestling Club” in the school where he works, shining a bright light on the sport we love for his students to enjoy. The club has had a visit from Banks, which will likely pale in comparison to what they will experience next year.
Victor launched a GoFundMe for the class to go to WrestleMania 39 with a goal of 15,000 dollars. Victor would break the news on his Twitter early on Saturday morning.
Bodyslam.net reached out to Perry for comment, and the teacher responded. Perry is incredibly grateful for everyone involved, thanking several names who helped make the goal a reality and has enjoyed turning pro wrestling into something to be a proud fan of in the school where he works.
“I’m so thankful. When I was approached to start a fundraiser for the club I was a little nervous. But, everyone in the IWC has set ease to those nerves and now we are going to make some of my students dreams come true! Thank you for ALL the love and support. Y’all are family for life.” “My students in my school are such avid fans of pro-wrestling and it’s now the “popular” thing to like. When I was a kid, as many have shared, pro-wrestling wasn’t something people bragged about because they were teased. Well, not anymore. At my school we embrace everyone for their interests and The Wrestling Club is the start of this! It’s growing everyday and it’s something I’m very passionate about and I’m so happy and thankful that I can create so many amazing memories for my students that will last a lifetime.”
