Daniel Cormier Believes NXT Superstar Is A Future WWE Champion
Daniel Cormier sees top-guy potential in one of NXT’s tag team stars.
The UFC Hall of Famer made his WWE debut earlier this month, serving as the special guest referee for the Fight Pit bout between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules. Cormier recently appeared on The Masked Man Show to discuss his appearance, during which he took the time to praise Julius Creed.
Cormier believed Julius could be a future WWE Champion, highlighting his size and athleticism.
“The Creed Brothers are really good. Let me tell you something, Jake (Julius Creed) is going to be a main event player at some point and I’m not taking anything from his brother but look at him. You can just look at him and see that he’s got that thing. He’s big, he’s in phenomenal shape, he can do anything in the ring. I asked him the other day, ‘How do you do that one move?’ He goes, ‘What?’ I go, ‘Where you’re sitting on your butt and you got a guy in a suplex and you stand up. How in the world do you get up with a guy on your shoulders?’ It’s crazy how he can do that. The kid’s got everything. He can do high-flying moves, he can wrestle as a powerhouse, he can do it all. He’s going to be a future champion. Maybe not right now you view him as a future WWE Champion, but he will be at some point, I really believe this. The way that they’re putting an emphasis on the Intercontinental title again, the United States title again, I can see him in that picture much sooner than later,” Cormier said.
The Creed Brothers lost the NXT Tag Titles at NXT Worlds Collide on September 4 to Pretty Deadly after Damon Kemp turned on them, costing them the match.
