Logan Paul Asked To Work With Shawn Michaels
Logan Paul is sparing no expense when it comes to preparing for his championship match with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.
On yesterday’s NXT Halloween Havoc media call, Shawn Michaels commented on working with Logan. A series of photos were posted on Thursday of the pair training.
“Working with him really was fun. he’s a bright kid. I didn’t know him, clearly, I’m whatever. I’m a square. Obviously, I know of him. I saw what he did at Mania and you told tell he was clearly committed. I know the stuff he’s done in the past with the boxing. When he jumps into something, he’s going to go all in and he works really hard. I was curious to see how much time and effort he was putting into this. He requested this, I jumped at the opportunity because I was curious. He’s getting it, he really is. He’s a nice kid, clearly he’s bright. He does work really hard. He’s got a big platform, so he comes in at a certain spot that none of our young talent is going to come in at. You have to put the cart before the horse with somebody like him. He’s in this match at WrestleMania, so you kind of just maybe train him for what he’s going to do there at that one match. That’s one of the things he and I talked about yesterday. ‘While you’re doing this, we have to go back and make sure we teach you some of those foundational and fundamental principles that will better link all of this stuff together.’ With his popularity, they kind of started him five years down the road, but he’s still in the first six months training-wise. That’s one of the things I felt, if we could go back and treat him and teach him some of the fundamentals, it would help him understand at a better level how you link all those other pieces that he’s learning together. I found him to be a very bright kid, nice guy, he has a great crew around him. They seem to be good boys. It was a lot of fun and getting to be the cool kid in class was cool.”
