Theory could hold onto his briefcase for quite some time.
WWE’s strategy for handling Theory as the owner of the briefcase has been the subject of fan speculation. In a surprising visit last week on NXT TV, Theory teased cashing in his briefcase on NXT Champion Bron Breakker.
WrestleVotes informed GiveMeSport that a never-before-considered proposal for Theory, who would be the first person to hold the briefcase for a year, has been discussed and is “on the table.”
There is an idea that he is the first guy to wait a full year, like the day of or, let’s say, the night of Money in the Bank next year. That’s the storyline, like ‘you have to cash this in two and a half hours. You have to cash this in 90 minutes.’ That type of thing. I know that idea is on the table.

Theory recently snapped his losing streak, defeating Mustafa Ali after an interference from United States champion Seth Rollins. Theory has previously tried to cash in Money In The Bank at SummerSlam and Clash At The Castle.
