Saudi Arabia, Host Country of WWE Crown Jewel, Informs US Authorities Of “Imminent Threat Of Attack”

There is a serious risk of an attack on Saudi Arabia from Iran.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia has shared with the United States intelligence of an “imminent attack” from Iran. The attacks are reported planning for “targets in the Kingdom.” WWE is set to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend for WWE Crown Jewel. The warning has prompted Saudi Arabia, the United States, and several other neighbouring states to “raise the level of alert for their military forces.”

WWE has not issued a comment on the report or the status of Crown Jewel. Earlier this year, Formula 1 hosted the Saudi Arabian GP with a threat of an attack hanging over the head. In that instance, no attack came to be thankfully. Time will tell if this situation will find a similar resolution.
