While some won’t rule out a CM Punk return to WWE, it appears some may think that is not a good thing.
When CM Punk was suspended after the AEW All Out Brawl, it was expected that he was done with the company in the aftermath. However, Punk is also one of biggest draws in the sport, which has lead to many believing Punk could make the jump to WWE if he were to be let go from AEW.
Ringside News asked around about this subject and provided an update on the internal feeling in WWE about Punk.
That being said, a tenured member of the creative team confirmed to us that “the only talk about CM Punk is among the talent.”
CM Punk soured a lot of people on his name. Those internally remember this and do not want his “poison” back in the company. What CM Punk did to the AEW locker room also did not go unnoticed in WWE.

Time will tell if Punk will ever step foot in a wrestling ring again, but for now there is several in WWE who are not welcoming to the idea of CM Punk returning to the company as an active competitor.
