Former TNA/IMPACT Wrestling Knockout and Wife of AEW Star Frankie Kazarian – Traci Brooks – Comments on His World Title Match Against Josh Alexander at Overdrive on 11/18
Traci Brooks started with TNA Wrestling in 2003 and was released in 2010. She was part of many big storylines over her tenure with the company, including being the manager for Robert Roode. Traci was the Knockouts Commissioner in part of 2009, and was named the Babe of the Year in 2004. Unfortunately, Traci never won the top prize – the Knockouts World Title.
Traci met Frankie while they were both working for TNA, and is very happy currently being retired and raising their child, Rebel, while Frankie travels the country wresting.
Traci took to her social media Twitter account last night to comment on Frankie’s upcoming IMPACT World Title match against Josh Alexander at the Live OVERDRIVE event on 11/18 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Frankie returned to the company prior to Bound for Glory in October to challenge for the X Division Title. Kazarian had to battle numerous opponents to get there, but he earned his X Division Title shot at Victory Road when he won a Triple Threat Revolver Match that involved Mia Yim, Kenny King, Yuya Uemura, Laredo Kid, Black Taurus, Trey Miguel, & Alex Zayne.
Frankie went on to battle Mike Bailey for the X Division title and rocked the landscape of IMPACT when he captured it. Frankie then showed up the next week on IMPACTonAXSTV, and teased going after Josh Alexander’s World Title. The following week, 10/20, Frankie made the decision official when he relinquished the X Division Title in exchange for a World Title shot, a privilege only given to the current champion.
Last week, Josh & Frankie teamed up to take on the New Japan Pro Wrestling tag team of Aussie Open on IMPACT Wrestling. The match ended when Frankie Kazarian hit Mark Davis with a Slingshot Cutter and pinned him.
Frankie Kazarian is a 6x X Division Champion, but he’s never captured the TNA/IMPACT World Title.
As of this past Saturday, Josh Alexander became IMPACT Wrestling’s 3rd longest reigning World Champion.
Will Frankie be the one to put an end to that reign? We’ll all have to tune in to find out.
