The finals are just around the corner.
Tonight on SmackDown, RAW’s Mustafa Ali came over to be Rey Mysterio’s replacement after he was injured, to battle Ricochet in the SmackDown World Cup opening round. Ali also wasn’t 100% coming in as he had his ribs taped up after a vicious attack from Lashley on RAW. As you can expect, the match was back and forth, fast paced, high flying action between these two young stars. In the end, Ricochet picks up the win with an outstanding shooting star press.
Ricochet will now move on to the semi-finals of the SmackDown World Cup to take on Braun Strowman next week.
