The IMPACT Wrestling X Division Championship was on the line on tonight’s LIVE Overdrive event, and a new champion was crowned.
IMPACT Wrestling held a tournament to crown a new X Division Champion after Frankie Kazarian vacated the title so use Option C and gain his World Title shot. Black Taurus and Trey Miguel both won their matches to earn a shot at the title.
Match highlights: after an incredible back and forth for about 15 minutes, Trey Miguel got frustrated that nothing was working to win. Trey Miguel spray painted Black Taurus in the eyes and then hit him with a WINDING SPIRAL to pickup the victory and become the NEW IMPACT Wrestling X Division Champion.
Trey Miguel defeated Alan Angels in the first round to advance, and then took advantage of interference from Kenny King to defeat Mike Bailey in the second round and earn his way to this X Division Title Match.
Black Taurus defeated Laredo Kid in the first round of the tournament, and then PJ Black last night on the weekly IMPACTonAXSTV episode to advance and fight for the title here tonight.
