Starks is headed to Full Gear.
Tonight, AEW Rampage kicked off with Ricky Starks vs. Lance Archer in a first round match in the AEW Title Eliminator Tournament. As promised, the match did start in the backstage area and the two brawled around the arena before making their way to the ring. Lance was in control for a lot of the match, being the bigger man. But, Ricky Starks never gave up and finally got his chance and nailed his vicious spear, which led him to pick up the win. After the match, a pissed off Lance Archer laid out Ricky at ringside and chokeslammed him on the steel stairs as Brian Cage watched on from the ramp.
Ricky Starks and Brian Cage will battle on the Full Gear Zero Hour at 7/6c in the last semi-finals match in the tournament. The winner of that will then face Ethan Page next week on Dynamite in the finals.
