Could the devil finally get his due?
From the opening bell the two got into a striking match where Moxley got the early advantage. MJF was clearly the fan favorite. Moxley flipped off the crowd and Moxley did not try to make his offence look pretty. Moxley would work the entire match in a heel fashion as the crowd hammered him with boos. MJF would hit a tombstone on the apron, hurting his own knee in the process. Moxley would continue to work the knee for the remainder of the match. Moxley would end up hitting an avalanche Paradigm shift but MJF managed to get a finger tip to the rope.
Regal came down to the ring to prevent MJF from using his Dynamite Diamond Ring after a ref bump (or two) and Regal would tell Moxley to get the ref ready. While this happened, Regal passed MJF brass knuckles. MJF used the knuckles and would get the 3 count and become the brand new AEW World Champion!
