AEW Full Gear: Toni Storm vs Jamie Hayter Interim Women’s World Title Match Result
The women showed out on tonight’s PPV.
Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm put on an incredible match for the AEW Interim Women’s World Title. Before the match began, it was worth noting that Britt Baker and Rebel did not accompany Hayter. The match played heavily on the pair being former friends. While the match began technical, it very quickly dissolved into the grudge match fans expected, with the pair brawling on the outside for a large part of the match. When they returned to the ring, it was initially all Jamie Hayter.
When Toni begins to fight back the crowd boo heavily. Toni hits a strong Hip attack before a crossbody for a near fall. After a headbutt, Toni falls in for a cover. Rebel then shows up at ringside. She ends up clocking Toni with the title behind the refs back. Toni kicks out of a sit down lariat. Toni spills to the outside and Baker stomps Storm onto the title and tosses Storm back in. Hayter hits Storm Zero for a 2 count.
The match heated up from here, with the match ending off a turnbuckle spot as Storm hit the corner hard, followed by a ripchord lariat and Jamie Hayter is the brand new AEW Interim Women’s World Champion
