Chris Hamrick Apologizes After Using Homophobic Slur At GCW Aura
Don’t use homophobic language under any circumstances.
Tonight at GCW’s Aura event, Pro-Wrestler Chris Hamrick cut a promo where he used a homophobic slur against his opponent. We will not repeat the slur here, but, as you can imagine, this did not go over well at all. The live crowd was shocked and in an awkward position and his opponent, Manders, thankfully snatched the mic out of his hand before he said anything else. Following this, GCW put out a statement on their social media to apologize and inform everyone that Chris’ pay will be donated to Youth Pride Rhode Island. GCW also matched his pay for the donation.
Chris himself also posted an apology on his twitter.
We do not condone that type of behavior and hate speech in this space.
