Could we see a DDT invasion in AEW?
Tony Khan took to the stand at the AEW Full Gear post-media scrum. During his time, it was asked if we could see more DDT talent make their way over to AEW from Japan after we saw Akiyama and Takeshita this weekend, with Takeshita even getting a AEW All Elite graphic. Tony answered and it seems like he’s up for more talent to come in.
Well, it’s a great question. I think there’s really great talents from DDT that, you know, particularly could be involved and in the case of Takeshita he’s somebody that’s on the AEW roster, other people, we have visa things where people from DDT are allowed to come over so, I think potentially, you could see it pretty often and with Takeshita and Akiyama, we saw last night on Rampage, they make a great tag team too. So, you know, I’m definitely opened to doing it in the future on TV or again, like we did this weekend at a Pay-Per-View event.
