At AEW Full Gear, Jamie Hayter squared off against Toni Storm for the AEW Interim Women’s World Championship. Hayter would end up winning the contest while Britt Baker lost to Saraya on the event.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Britt Baker talked about her love for Jamie Hayter. In fact, Baker revealed that she hand-picked Hayter for a job in AEW. She went on to give Hayter a ton of props.
“I’m so incredibly proud of Jamie. I mean, I literally hand-picked Jamie. I went to Tony Khan and said, ‘Hey, we need this girl,’ because I wrestled her in the UK in a dive bar years ago, and we’ve been friends ever since.”
“I am Jamie’s #1 fan. There’s nobody out there that wants Jamie to win this title more than I do because it is her time. This is Jamie Hayter’s era right now, and I get to be along for the ride.”

We will have to wait and see how Jamie Hayter will be booked as the Interim AEW Women’s Champion in the coming months. Many fans expect Britt to turn on her friend sometime soon but for now, Baker is happy for her friend.
