The Elite Will Use ‘Carry On Wayward Son’ Regularly In AEW
Carry On Wayward Son will be back for more!
The popular Kansas song ‘Carry On Wayward Son’ was used by the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega as they returned to the ring this past weekend at Full Gear. To the surprise of everyone, they actually got the song cleared. But, this is not a one time deal. On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez gave some notes sent to him by Dave Meltzer, which said that The Elite will use the song going forward as their entrance music but not for every match.
Wayward Son by Kansas that The Elite used [on Saturday] will be the Trios entrance music. It won’t be used in regular tag or singles matches. Young Bucks wanted the song for a long time. They and their father were big fans of the song. The thoughts by people that had to do with the situation in the past two months was something they were aware of, but the decision to use the song preceded that. In fact, when they were backyarders doing their backyard wrestling promotion (in the early 2000s), they used Wayward Son as their entrance music.

Many fans speculated that the song was a shot at CM Punk following the All Out situation, but it seems that is not the case, as the song has long been mentioned on their Being The Elite show before Punk was even around.
