Survivor Series 2022: Finn Balor vs AJ Styles Recap And Match Result

Two of the originators of the Bullet Club go one on one in singles action.

Balor out first with Dominik and Damien Priest. Balor once again wearing a faceless mask during his entrance. Ripley is noticeably absent after the War Games match opening the show. Styles out second as he is joined by the OC while wearing his own mask. Early on the match, the two lock up with stalemates between the two before they began exchanging blows.

The two showed off their incredible chemistry during this match as there was counter after counter in the match between two of the best singles competitors in WWE right now. Styles would continue to work on Balor’s left leg throughout the match. Dominik and Priest get involved in the match but The OC and Judgement Day began to brawl at ringside as the two factions brawled through the crowd, leaving Styles and Balor alone in the ring.

Balor would look for a Styles Clash on AJ, which would lead to a great exchange as the pair would hit Pelé kicks, laying each other out. Balor would begin to take over, but Styles would attempt a 450 splash that would miss, he would roll through however and would eat a shotgun dropkick. However, a Coup De Grace would turn into a Calf Crusher on Balor’s bad leg. Balor would break the hold and the pair would begin exchanging shots.

After a brief exchange on the apron, AJ Styles would hit the Phenomenal Forearm on Balor, getting the win with the resulting pinfall.
