Jim Cornette Accuses AEW Of Intentionally Holding Down FTR
Jim Cornette believes Tony Khan is intentionally holding down Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler as a tag team.
While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about FTR’s current plight in the company. Cornette accused AEW of holding down the tag team on purpose.
“Once in a blue moon they have a tag team match but most of the time in AEW it’s six-man or an eight-man or pre-taped interview. They have all their great tag team matches in other companies somewhere else in the world.”
They have every other promotion’s tag team title that means something in those companies but are completely meaningless in AEW for some reason. And the apologists are still acting like this is not intentional, that anybody could be so stupid, and people are still trying to say they’re not being held down on purpose!”

FTR is still evaluating their options once their AEW contracts expire. FTR is also set to compete at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 next year, so they will still keep themselves busy no matter what. Only time will tell whether they will stick with AEW or not next year. They are currently scheduled to challenge The Acclaimed on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. They have yet to have a match announced for this weekend’s Ring Of Honor Final Battle.
