AAA has ruined the fun.
Hijo del Vikingo is one of AAA’s top stars in Mexico. He is a fan favorite and has transcended his stardom over to the United States. Many fans in the United States were excited to see him wrestle over here and finally it is happening… kind of. Vikingo has been booked for many independent shows in the US including PWG and GCW, while many fans were excited to see him, there’s only one way to do it and that’s live. Today, it was revealed that AAA has put a ban on Vikingo’s United States matches from being streamed or put on VOD. Luchablog was the first to bring this news to light and later, GCW confirmed it. Vikingo is set to wrestle Blake Christian this Friday at GCW in LA. But, you have to go see it live if you want to see it at all.
We’ll keep our fingers crossed that the ban gets lifted because many fans were looking forward to seeing Vikingo on GCW and other events from a streaming setting.
