Saraya Calls For AEW To Begin A Women’s Tag Team Division
With new signings, the AEW women’s division has continued to expand and received more television time. Saraya, who made her debut at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, is debatably the most notable signing to date. Saraya debuted in AEW a couple of months ago and took the pro wrestling world by storm.
Since her debut at AEW, Saraya and Dr. Britt Baker have been involved in a tense rivalry. At AEW Full Gear, the two women even engaged in a wrestling match. Recently, Saraya was questioned by Forbes’ Alfred Konuwa about the growing women’s division and the potential debut of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles.
“I’m always for an all-women’s show, for sure. I feel like there could be a tag division we could get going as well. Like [women’s] tag team championships. I don’t think we should load wrestling with a ton of championships, but there is space for a women’s tag division, too. There are a lot of women we have backstage that are not on the show, and that could give them an opportunity to be on the show. There is always so much we could do with the women, and people don’t realize how much talent we have backstage,”
Saraya to Forbes
To find out who will team up with Saraya to take on Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker, we must wait until January 11th. We will have to wait and see if Tony Khan decides to debut a women’s tag team division in his company.
