Chris Jericho has been cast in an upcoming horror movie.
Chris Jericho is a pro wrestler by trade but is also the front man for his band, Fozzy. Jericho has also explored acting and looks to be dipping his toe back into that water.
Andreas Wiseman of Deadline reports that the former AEW World Champion will lead the cast in ‘Dark Match’, a wrestling-themed horror movie by Dept. 9 Studios. Ayisha Issa, Steven Ogg, , Sara Canning, Michael Eklund, and Jonathan Cherry have also been cast in the film. Jericho commented on the news in a tweet.
We will have to wait and see how this movie turns out, but it is positive to see the movie casting a pro wrestler in the project. Per Wiseman, ‘Dark Match’ features a small-time wrestling company travel to a backwoods town for a show, and they ultimately that the leader of a mysterious cult has “devious plans” for their event.
