Drew Parker Reminisces Ahead Of His Huge Match Against Jun Kasai
Drew Parker is ready for the match of his life.
Drew Parker is a DeathMatch wrestler that primarily works in Japan. Though, Parker has wrestled for the likes of GCW in America, his main promotion currently is FREEDOMS. On Christmas Day, Drew gets the best present he could ask for when he defends his King Of FREEDOMS World Championship against Jun Kasai at FREEDOMS Bloody X’Mas 22. Drew says Jun introduced him to DeathMatch Wrestling in Japan at 12 years old. Drew took to Instagram to post this message ahead of the big match.
When I was around 12 years old I was first exposed to Japanese deathmatch wrestling; and that first video was a grainy 240p clip of Jun Kasai diving on to Ryuji Ito at Korakuen Hall. 12 years later and I’m preparing to defend my King of FREEDOMS belt against the same man who introduced me to Japanese deathmatch wrestling in the very same venue. In retrospect I’ve had an insane run since the Summer of 2021 and it’s very easy to get lost in the motion of everything and not truly appreciate things. However, it’s not lost on me how this is not only the culmination of this era of my life but also solidification of myself as a main player in modern deathmatch wrestling. Nervous, excited, but ready. 4 more days.
