Sasha Banks Arrives In Japan Ahead Of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17
Sasha Banks is now in Japan ahead of her Wrestle Kingdom appearance in the new year.
Now, PW Insider is reporting that Banks has arrived in Japan ahead of Wrestle Kingdom 17 which will be held on January 4th inside the Tokyo Dome.
Wrestle Kingdom is NJPW’s biggest event of the year and promises an exciting night of action. The full match card for the show is as follows:
- Exhibition match: Ryohei Oiwa vs. Noltin Oleg
- New Japan Ranbo to determine the #1 contender to the Provisional KOPW 2023 Trophy
- Antonio Inoki Memorial Six-Man Tag Team Match: Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima, & Togi Makabe vs. Tatsumi Fujinami, Minoru Suzuki, & Tiger Mask
- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: Catch 2/2 (c) vs. LiYoh
- IWGP Women’s Championship: Kairi (c) vs. Tam Nakano
- IWGP Tag Team Championship: FTR (c) vs. Bishamon
- Tournament Final for the inaugural NJPW World Television Championship: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Ren Narita
- Never Openweight Championship: Karl Anderson (c) vs. Tama Tonga
- Keiji Muto, Hiroshi Tanahashi, & Shota Umino vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon
- Four-Way Match for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: Taiji Ishimori (c) vs. El Desperado vs. Hiromu Takahashi vs. Master Wato
- IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Kenny Omega
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Jay White (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada
We will have to wait and see how NJPW intend to utilize Banks, now using her real name of Mercedes. One thing is for sure, she is very serious about her intentions to work for New Japan.
