CM Punk’s AEW status is still up in the air.
CM Punk has been off AEW TV since AEW All Out, where he would recapture the AEW World Title. After the event, he would prove to be the catalyst to the All Out Brawl, which lead to suspensions for both Punk and The Elite. While The Elite have returned, Punk is still out of action with an arm injury.
While speaking to Fightful’s Grapsody podcast, Tony Khan was asked about Punk but as always, Tony would deflect the question, presumably for legal reasons.
Will Washington asked if we’ll see CM Punk back in AEW in 2023. Tony Khan says he appreciates the question but can’t answer that.
