The Pitch Black match has been discussed for a while and has reportedly been pitched for the Rumble event. A close source of the company claims that the match will feature The Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt, in his first-ever bout since making a return to WWE.
A new Mountain Dew advertisement reveals details regarding the Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble. The video shows a WWE arena going black before the text appearing “When It’s The Pitch Black Match” later touting it as “Anything Can Happen.” The footage also features a man walking with bright light emerging from behind, appearing to be Edge.
The WWE regime has also discussed doing a Hell in a Cell match for the Royal Rumble event, potentially between ‘Demon’ Finn Balor and ‘Brood’ Edge. We will have to wait and see how the matches will be built.
