William Regal Announces His Last Day With AEW Was December 29th, Says Goodbye To The Promotion

William Regal has said goodbye to AEW.

It’s been reported for several weeks now that William Regal would be leaving AEW in favor of a new position backstage in WWE. Regal was recently written off AEW TV after MJF attacked him with brass knuckles.

On Friday, Regal took to Twitter and sent a solemn goodbye out to AEW, acknowledging that he loved his time there.

Yesterday was my last official day with @AEW. I’d like to thank @TonyKhan, Megha and all the hard working crew. Contrary to people who’ve never spoken to me or have their information from people who don’t know me or are trying to make themselves noticed,I had a lovely time..(1/2)

Regal is set to take a vice president role within WWE, and is expected to start with the company in the new year.
