John Silver Tells Skip Bayless to Go F*ck Himself after Damar Hamlin Injury
John Silver of The Dark Order spoke for many professional football and professional wrestling fans on Monday night, when he had words for Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless.
Monday was a dark night for fans, players, and commentators after the Monday Night Football matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills.
During the game’s 1st quarter, Bills safety Damar Hamlin tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Immediately afterwards, Hamlin got to his feet, and then collapsed. A stretcher and ambulance came onto the field, where first responders gave Hamlin oxygen and performed CPR.
Hamlin was transferred by ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma hospital.
Fox 10 reporter Tricia Macke is reporting that Hamlin was intubated, and that he is currently listed as being in ‘Critical Condition.’
Almost immediately following Hamlin’s injury, fans and athletes called for the NFL to suspend the rest of the game. There are reports that, originally, the NFL told the two teams to take a 5-minute break before returning to the field, but the coaches vetoed that and fought for a suspension.
Eventually, the NFL conceded…much to the supposed chagrin of Skip Bayless.
Moments after Hamlin’s injury, one that could potentially result in the man’s death, Bayless took to Twitter to question the NFL’s decision to postpone the game.
Naturally, the comments flooded in, chastising the man for his tone deaf tweet.
One of the men who criticized Bayless’ tweet was none other than Johnny Hungee, John Silver. Silver was short, and to the point, offering a tweet that was both colloquial and poignant.
Bayless would eventually backtrack and offer up that one type of apology that isn’t actually an apology but is more of an “I’m sorry you took it that way,” kinda comment.
Well-intentioned or not, fans were not amused by Bayless’ comments. And honestly, if JOHN SILVER doesn’t like you, you should probably take a look in the mirror and question who you are, who you’ve been, and who you want to be.
Bodyslam.net would like to send its condolences to Damar Hamlin, as well as his friends, family, and teammates. They will all remain in our thoughts and prayers during this scary time.
