Over the new years period, Shinsuke Nakamura was in Japan for a match with The Great Muta, a match which Nakamura won in decisive fashion.
Following the match, Shinsuke Nakamura reunited with former WWE Superstar KAIRI. They met up on January 1st and the IWGP Women’s Champion also posted photos about the moment on her official Twitter account. She captioned the photos in Japanese, which translates as follows.
“2023 ⇆ 2018. Thank you very much for the miracle, the heart-trembling match.”
It was a very kind gesture from WWE to allow Nakamura to travel to Japan and face The Great Muta. WWE is also allowing Karl Anderson to defend his IWGP Never Openweight Championship against Tama Tonga at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.
