The Rock was considered one of the flagship stars of WWE during the famous Attitude Era. He became popular for his amazing in-ring performances, captivating personality, and most importantly, highly entertaining promo delivery. The Great One’s fame transcended the wrestling world and earned him a place among the elites in Hollywood today.
Former WCW star Konnan recently compared MJF to the likes of The Rock, calling him one of the biggest attractions for fans to tune into AEW television programming. He spoke about this on the latest episode of Keepin’ It 100 podcast.
“So he’s like a supernova burning bright. Like, you know, at one time Shawn Michaels or Eddie [Guerrero] or Cena or The Rock. He’s a great talent with natural talking talent and charisma. He’s got a swag, confidence, his delivery. He’s just great at such a young age, and he can command a crowd in a room. I’m very happy for him. He’s one of the main reasons that people watch AEW because his segments are always fire,”

MJF is currently reigning as the AEW World champion, winning the title from Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2022. The Salt of the Earth will be potentially defending his title next against “The American Dragon”, Bryan Danielson.
