Karl Anderson came back to NJPW from WWE to defend his NEVER Openweight Championship against Tama Tonga. Before the match even began, Karl hit Tama with the belt over the head and this caused Karl to really dominate the first half of the match. Tama continued trying to fight back and it took some time, but he took control of the match and finished it off with the GunStun, a move that Karl passed on to Tama while they were in the Bullet Club together. Now, friends turned foes and Tama Tonga became the new champion, sending Karl packing back to WWE.
