Freddie Prinze Jr. Labels NXT “Unwatchable Garbage”
Many fans simply did not like Vince McMahon’s vision for NXT, which many felt was too colorful and childish for their liking. However, the same fans certainly enjoy what Triple H and Shawn Michaels have done for the brand in the past several months.
While speaking on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. made it clear that he does not like NXT whatsoever and stated that he believes it is unwatchable garbage.
“I know this; it’s[Impact Wrestling] going to be better than ‘NXT. Because there ain’t nothing in the world worse than that goddamn show. I’ve given it a chance like once every six weeks.
I’ll go, ‘Yeah, I’ll watch a little bit of it,’ and it is absolute garbage. It went from my favorite promotion –- when it was Black and Gold -– to unwatchable. Unwatchable like a local theater production.
The last two times I’ve tried, it was terrible. I really don’t like crapping on stuff unless it offends me what they’re doing to talent that I care about.”
Freddie Prinze Jr on Wrestling With Freddie
We will have to wait and see whether NXT will eventually improve to a point that even Freddie Prinze Jr. will end up liking it. By the looks of it, that is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
