Belief That RK-Bro Tag Team Is Likely Done
RK-Bro was a highly successful tag team, winning multiple championships.
However, the team had to disband when Randy Orton went out due to a back injury, right after dropping the RAW tag team championships to The Usos in a Winner Take All match on SmackDown back in May 2022. According to a new report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it looks like WWE won’t be reforming the team, even after Randy Orton’s eventual return.
“McIntyre & Sheamus are now being called The Banger Bros. A key question from that regards both Orton & Riddle as RKO Bro, which would seem to mean there are no imminent plans for them to return because the WWE doesn’t usually like to do names so similarly. There was a lot of concern regarding Orton’s career due to his back issues.”
WON
The team of Drew McIntyre and Sheamus is now being called The Banger Bros, very much similar to RK-Bro. As WWE usually does not like to have two teams with similar names and also with the huge concern over Randy Orton’s career due to back issues, it is pretty much evident that we have seen the last RK-Bro.
