Mickie James Is Struggling With The Thought Of Retirement

Mickie James carved a Hall of Fame-worthy career throughout the years, working for promotions like WWE and IMPACT Wrestling. However, even after two decades of being in the wrestling business, it looks like James is still struggling with the thought of exiting the business for good.

The 10-time Women’s champion has been performing exceptionally well in the ring during her Last Rodeo. Mickie James recently opened up about the possibility of facing retirement and the mixed emotions she is experiencing during an interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk.

“I don’t want anyone to end the Last Rodeo,” James said. “This is my career, it’s my livelihood. This is my love, it’s my passion. It’s something that I’ve dedicated over two decades of my life to. That’s pretty much half my life has been wrestling, and it has given me everything.”

“It’s a struggle, the ‘retire’ word. It’s a sadness because it’s an ending of a book you never really, truly want to close.”

Mickie James To Wrestling Talk

Mickie James defeated the likes of Gisele Shaw, Mia Yim, Deonna Purrazzo, Chelsea Green, and Taylor Wilde during her Last Rodeo. She is set to battle Jordynne Grace for the IMPACT Knockouts championship at Hard to Kill in a “Title vs Career match.” We’ll have to see how this all ends for the Hall of Famer.
