Kota Ibushi Doesn’t Expect To Wrestle Alongside Kenny Omega In New Japan
Kota Ibushi had a falling out with NJPW and that led to The Golden Star publicly criticizing the company’s top management over their alleged mistreatment of him. Although NJPW’s Twitter account retweeted Ibushi’s best wishes to Omega before his match against Will Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom 17, the relationship between the two sides remains complicated.
The inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion shared his thoughts on whether or not he’ll reunite with Kenny Omega now that The Cleaner is once again working with NJPW during a Q&A with Dark Puroresu Flowsion.
“Should Kenny continue to appear for New Japan once he loses the belt, then I don’t think we’re going to be able to wrestle together.”

Omega defeated Ospreay in arguably the match of the night for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2023. The Cleaner brought his newly-won title to the January 11, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite as well.
