Sting Feels Like WWE Put Pressure On Him To Retire
Sting would retire from the ring initially in 2016, but is currently still active in AEW.
While speaking in a new D Magazine feature by Mike Piellucc, Sting revealed that he felt WWE pressured him to retire in 2016. That being said, Sting admitted that he wasn’t “forced” and “nobody made me do it.”
“I just felt like everything was…pointing toward, ‘You just need to retire. Just get it over with.’ … I finally relented and said, ‘Alright. Let’s just do it,’ “

Tony Khan also recently ripped WWE for underutilizing Sting. Sting also knows how he wants to end his professional wrestling career. His contract will also expire this year. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for Sting.
