Cody Rhodes Has Been Boxing In Order To Prepare For Royal Rumble Return
Cody Rhodes completely tore his pectoral muscle just several hours before the Hell in a Cell premium live event. In spite of that, he chose to face off against Seth Rolins in a brutal match that turned out to be a 5-star classic.
The brutal Hell in a Cell match raised Cody Rhodes’ stock significantly. WWE had also been releasing hype videos in preparation for his imminent return. In fact, he will be returning at the Royal Rumble this week.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Cody Rhodes underwent a rigorous training regimen, including a boxing camp, to sharpen his skills and physique for his comeback to the WWE ring.
As a result, he was able to significantly reduce his body fat percentage, going from 17.7% to less than 9%. This intense preparation not only helped him perform at the highest level in the ring, but also demonstrated his dedication and commitment to his craft.
Rhodes went through what was described as a boxing training camp to get into shape for the show, and has dropped from 17.7 percent bodyfat under nine percent. The idea of training like a boxer would indicate he’s looking to go hard for a long period of time, which doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be in the ring for a long time in this match, but would indicate he’s very seriously looking to get into condition to go hard for a long period of time.

We will have to wait and see how Cody Rhodes will fare in the Royal Rumble match on January 28th. After all, Rhodes is the current favorite to win the whole thing and book his ticket for WrestleMania 39.
