While The Rock may not wrestle at this years WrestleMania, he could be set to compete at next years event.
While speaking during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that The Rock could do a three-second squash match at the Show of Shows, if nothing else.
Dwayne’s not wrestling anybody else on the show unless it’s a three-second match. I mean, he could go do that, he could do an angle. He did not feel that he had the time to get into the shape he needed to be in to do a WrestleMania caliber main event, and left the door open for next year.

As previously reported, The Rock could still appear at WrestleMania 39, so a squash match could happen. He did the same at WrestleMania 32, where The Rock destroyed Erick Rowan. We’ll have to see what WWE will have planned for him in the end.
