Since Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s big four Premium Live Events, the backstage atmosphere is expected to be quite stressful before the show. However, that wasn’t the case this time around with Triple H in charge.
Fightful Select is reporting that the backstage atmosphere for the show was “very laid back.” It was also noted that the children of several wrestlers were backstage having fun.

Cody Rhodes returned at the Royal Rumble and entered at the coveted number 30 spot. After lasting 15 minutes, he was finally able to eliminate Gunther to win his main event spot at WrestleMania. On the women’s side, Rhea Ripley entered the Royal Rumble match in the number 1 spot and outlasted 29 other women to win the match and punch her ticket to WrestleMania.
