Cody Rhodes Says He Doesn’t Have John Cena’s Superhuman Ability To Heal

Cody Rhodes admits he is behind John Cena.

The American nightmare recently appeared on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, with Logan Paul and his crew where he discussed his match against the Architect at last year’s Hell In A Cell. Rhodes also brought up John Cena, who is notorious for recovering from some of the worst injuries just in time for PPVs.

Cody Rhodes spoke about the hype surrounding his match against Rollins at the premium live event. While confronted with a huge premium live event match and a major injury, Rhodes came to terms that he isn’t built like John Cena.

“I mean, it [the injury] made me feel like, the pay-per-view that we were going through, Hell in a Cell. You’re supposed to be like, ‘Oh, I’ve been in the end zone before’, I haven’t, right? I’ve been close but I’m going to Hell in a Cell, the poster’s this giant photo of me, it’s the most peacock, new subs for this PLE, this premium live event, they all want to see this Hell in a Cell Match with Seth and I. In the arena, it’s just my face on the chairs and what I thought was, maybe I don’t have it, maybe I don’t have what John has, you know.”

“Cena because he was my role model when I was here, maybe I don’t, maybe there’s a reason it didn’t happen. And that’s why I was so adamant about, we’re not going to do some stupid thing backstage. No knocking that, you should never wrestle injured but I wasn’t going to have it any other way,”

Cody Rhodes managed to defeat Seth Rollins at the Hell In A Cell premium live event. The match even got a 5-star rating, marking it the first WWE main roster match since 2011 to receive such a rating.
