Jeff Jarrett Will Still Wrestle On AEW Dynamite Despite Father’s Passing
Jarrett’s father Jerry passed away earlier this week at the age of 80.
On the Busted Open Radio today, AEW President Tony Khan stated that Jeff Jarrett, Jerry’s son, still desired to compete tonight on AEW Dynamite.
“Jeff is here in Laredo, Texas today with us,” Khan said. “And Jeff has said he wants to wrestle tonight on the show and push forward. And that is such a brave and courageous decision, I think, and we would respect whatever Jeff wants to do.”

Jerry Jarrett was described by Tony Khan as “one of the finest characters ever in the game, regarded as a visionary and one of the best promoters ever in his remarks regarding his passing. The iconic Continental Wrestling Association promoter received an outpouring of tributes yesterday and today from all corners of the wrestling community.
