Sami Zayn was visibly nervous backstage before his SmackDown promo. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion accounted for the crowd reaction and let the segment breathe.
Sami reflected on the Montreal promo during a press conference after the Elimination Chamber premium live event. Sami revealed he had a lot more to say during the promo, but decided to adapt to the situation.
“Well, look I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to say but then you also have to assess the situation you’re in and adapt. They were giving me a lot and I’m not about to stop if I’m doing that, right? Cause that’ll be a strange choice… as a performer. Let’s just pause on that.”

Sami Zayn failed to beat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of the Elimination Chamber premium live event. We will have to wait and see what is next for the former Honorary Uce.
