Mercedes Mone’s debut happened at last night’s NJPW Battle in the Valley. She defeated KAIRI to win the IWGP Women’s championship in a hard-hitting match that added another title to her showcase.
Furthermore, WWE star and close friend of Mercedes Monè, Bayley was also present in San Jose. It’s interesting to note that the Damage CTRL commander was donning a Lucha mask to maintain discipline and prevent disturbances among the audience.
Bayley kept the mask on for a while. But according to Twitter user @RighteousReg, the former WWE Women’s champion ultimately decided to take it off to show her support for Mercedes Monè in full force.
Mercedes Mone and Bayley have been friends for a long time, since their working days together in WWE. The duo revolutionized the business and paved the way for better opportunities for women in WWE today.
